1 down, 3 to go...

Well, it's been a week since I took Andrew's lunch-time feeding away. He has done fine with it, but it has made him even more dependent upon his 4PM nursing. As soon as I get home, he is crying and climbing all over me to nurse. I don't know if it's because he gets cow's milk at lunch now or what, because it's not like he has been nursing at lunch anyway (except on the weekends.) Now it's time for me to take away another feeding. Originally, I had planned to take the 4PM feeding now, but I don't know. Any thoughts from my blogging buddies? I have to keep the morning right now for personal relief, but which should I take away next, 4PM or bedtime? HELP!

Hmm, maybe the bedtime next? If he's so desperate for the 4 pm. At least he will have nursed recently and you could cuddle w/ a bottle or have Nick do it if you think he'll really want to nurse if it's you? Whew - a tough one!! Hang in there, Bashie!

I agree I would take the bedtime one away.

Well, I had about decided to do that but then it just so happened that he was playing so hard yesterday that he "forgot" to eat at 4:00. I guess I'm going with that one.

Good luck with this! That's about all I can say on this subject since I haven't been through this yet. I know you'll do great though.

I was going to say bedtime, but I was thinking the 4pm might be easier on you... and you could just limit to bedtime and morning for now. Definitely try with distraction - maybe keep on hand a few small toys he's never seen that you could pull out and help distract him? Just remember what you do because I'll be the one asking you all of this one day... :)
